    The Role

    You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, comfortable and professional journeys while representing the Alpine Travel brand to the high standards.

    What we’re looking for

    • Valid UK PCV (Category D) Licence

    • Driver CPC Card 

    • Digital Tachograph Card

    • Professional and reliable attitude

    • Be able to pass an enhanced DBS check. 


    Experience 

    • Coach driver 1 Year (preferred) 


    Work Location

    The Role

    As a trainee driver, you will support our transport operations while training to become a qualified PCV driver. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience and practical industry knowledge, supported by ongoing training and development.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Feeder and local transport work.

    • Providing a friendly and professional service to passengers at all times. 

    • Learning company procedures and systems. 

    • Undertaking driver training and qualifications required to become a PCV driver.

  • Part-time PCV Driver

    Part-time PCV Driver

    We’re looking for experienced PCV drivers seeking flexible part-time or seasonal work. Whether you’re returning to the industry or looking for a role that fits with other commitments, this could be the ideal opportunity for you. 


    The Role

    As a part-time coach driver, you will play an important role in delivering a safe, comfortable and professional service while representing the company to the highest standards. The role offers a variety of work which may include, School transport, Day excursions, Private hires, Tours and Seasonal work. You will be responsible for ensuring passengers receive a positive travel experience while providing a friendly and professional service throughout their journey. 


    What we’re looking for 

    • Hold a valid UK PCV (Category D) Licence

    • Have an up-to-date Driver CPC card

    • Good customer service skills

    • Flexibility  

    • Have the right to work in the UK

    • Digital Tachograph

  • PSV Mechanic

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced PSV mechanic to join our Engineering team. As a PSV mechanic you will be responsible for the maintenance, service and repair of our extensive fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are compliant with all regulations. This role requires a broad range of engineering skills, a proactive approach to diagnosing and solving problems and the ability to meet the demands of our busy workshop.



    Duties and responsibilities: 

    • Conduct routine servicing, general maintenance, and repairs on vehicles. 

    • Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostics to identify faults and ensure timely repairs.

    • Prepare vehicles for MOT tests, ensuring they meet legal requirements and standards. 

    • Diagnose and correct running defects on vehicles. 

    • Complete job cards. 

    • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and company policies



    We’re looking for: 

    • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle maintenance is essential.

    • A full UK driving Licence is required.  

    • Possession of a PSV licence is advantageous however, driver training will be provided. 

    • Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on coaches. 

    • A proactive attitude with the ability to work under pressure. 

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of workmanship. 

    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Transport Manager

    We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our operations team. You will be responsible for allocating daily driver and vehicle schedules, ensuring work is allocated efficiently, issues are resolved quickly, and service delivery is always maintained.  


    This role requires confident decision making, a structured and methodical approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, time critical environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of operational decisions and be able to manage challenges as they arise. 



    Key responsibilities 

    • Take ownership of daily transport planning and allocation of work, ensuring efficiency and minimal disruption 

    • Make timely and effective decisions to resolve operational issues 

    • Manage driver schedules and respond to last-minute changes 

    • Monitor live operations and maintain service delivery 

    • Communicate clearly with drivers, customers and the wider team

    • Prioritise tasks effectively in a time-critical environment 



    Key skills- 

    • Demonstrates the ability to think quickly and make sound decisions independently. 

    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

    • Clear and confident communicator

    • Highly organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple tasks 

    • Resilience and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations

    • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

    • Proficient in IT systems and scheduling tools. 



    Experience- 

    • Experience in a transport or logistics environment is preferred 

    • Transport Manager CPC qualification preferred but not essential

    • Experience working in a fast-paced operational role is desirable
